Humanitarian work is an integral part of the philosophy at RCC.
We offer many opportunities to be involved in local community outreach programs such as distribution of meals to the homeless, neighborhood clean-up and the opportunity to help in the event of catastrophic disasters. RCC is also heavily involved in various projects abroad and financially supports many missionaries on a monthly basis.
"One Pharisee, who was an expert on the law of Moses, asked Jesus this question to test him: "Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?" Jesus answered," 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands." Matthew 22:35-40 New Century Version
The most important commandment compels us to share the love of God with our cities, state, nation, and world. He has called us to be a part of the answer to problems in our world. Our goal is that all followers of Jesus engage in the missions by doing three things... give, go, and pray.
From a orphanages in Peru, to childcare in Mexico, to a church plant in Africa or Blanding, Utah, we are supporting the work of the Master around the world. RCC financially supports 40 missionaries and gave close to $25,000 last year to missions. Partner with us to give towards these efforts.
Humanitarian work is an integral part of the philosophy at RCC. We take teams across the globe to physically encourage our missionary family and work with other humanitarian organizations to help aid in the issues of, hunger, health, water, shelter, and sustainable resources. We believe as we follow the example of the Master we must first minister to the physical needs of the person before we can reach out to their spiritual needs.
We believe we can pray on the behalf of our missionaries and humanitarian organizations as they are on the frontlines of the serious needs in our world. Please consider joining with us in our prayer room or with our prayer chain to pray for the needs of our world.
